by Maddie, Main Library Halloween is just a few days away! Try out these spooky treats for a quick snack break between Zoom sessions! What you’ll need:
Step One: Cut the apple into quarters and carve out “mouths” in each piece. Step Two: Spread peanut butter into each mouth. Then use a dab of peanut butter to attach two mini marshmallows as eyes above the mouth. Step Three: Thinly slice a strawberry to make “tongues”. Step Four: Place a strawberry slice into each mouth and then add candy corn as teeth. If the candy corn is too big, you can cut it down to fit. Step Five: Devour your monster! This is just one example of the many monsters you can create with fruit, candy, and peanut butter. Feel free to run wild with these ingredients! Give your monster a strawberry mohawk or use marshmallows as squishy teeth— the weirder the better! The City Library encourages a respectful and focused dialogue on blog posts.
