Starting this April 2022 Teen and Tween Book Clubs are back in person at the Anderson-Foothill Library!
Tween Book Club is for tweens ages 9-12 and Teen Book Club is for Teens ages 13-17. Each month we get together and talk about books chosen for each age group.
Teen Book Club meets once a month to discuss books chosen by students from West, East, and Highland high schools. Here is what we will be reading this spring in Teen Book Club:
April 23rd, 1-2 pm - Participants can choose to read Maus by Art Spiegelman and/or The Librarian of Auschwitz by Antonio Iturbe
On Sat, May 11, 1–2 pm, Teen Book Club will discuss Saints and Misfits By S. K. Ali.
Please be aware that these books deal with sensitive content and are recommended for emotionally mature readers.
Here is what we will be reading this spring in Tween Book Club:
Wed, April 27th, 4:30-6 pm Amari and the Night Brothers by B. B. Alston
Wed, May 25th, 4:30-6 pm Born Behind Bars by Padma Venkatraman
We hope to see teens and tweens at our first in-person book clubs in two years! If you are not comfortable with in-person programming just yet, you can attend Zoom.
Registration is required. Please visit slcpl.org/events to register.
